Hallow is yet another fantastically written book by a lovely and creative author, Olga Gibbs. Hallow is a Urban/Dark Fantasy novel and also the second book in a quadrilogy (a four book series) called the ‘Celestial Creatures Series.’

Being one of the most formidable archangels with the power to end the world doesn’t serve you well if you don’t know how to use it.
Thrown into a battle of courts and factions, tangled in a web of intrigues and palatial games, naive Ariel is surrounded by powerful angels, chasing their own agendas.
There’s no one she can trust. Everyone stands to gain something from her death.
To avoid the blood battle that Baza brought to her door at Uras, Ariel retreats back to Apkallu (Earth) to find her little sister, but there heavenly battles and intrigues she flees follow her, as Baza’s immense hold on Apkallu forces Ariel and Rafe to make uncomfortable choices.
Ariel’s fight for survival if far from over and it looks like it’s going to be a deadly one.
Now before I get into things I’d like to start this review off by saying that I would never recommend a book to my reads/viewers if I hadn’t thoroughly enjoyed it myself and didn’t believe you, yourself would enjoy it too! And I will always share my honest opinions, also I plan on ordering my actual hard copy of the book soon, so expect new pictures when I do! So without further delay….
I was introduced to it by @FraserFunHouse who has been organising an amazing book tour for @Olga Gibbs. The ‘Hallow Blog Tour’ which had instantly caught my eyes.
27th February, I officially became part of the Hallow Blog Tour! Who kindly gave me a copy of the book Heavenward for free to get caught up with Hallow. Before starting this book I had been in a year reading funk. I hadn’t been able to find a single book that I liked or was interesting in for an entire year! It’s my fault really, I had spent a good year or two locked away in my house due to sever anxiety and just overall being in a really bad mental state after leaving high school and during that time all I did was read one book after the other, escaping reality and diving into a new and exciting world that was completely different from the one that I was in.
My review of Hallow:
After finishing Heavenward I was more than eager to read the second book Hallow which luckily thanks to being in such a wonderful blog tour I already had waiting there for me to read.
It’s been half a year since Ariel had been to earth… half a year spent with angels she once never even believe existed, half a year since that incident in the Science Lab. But she had a mission more than keeping herself safe until she was ready for battle, she was now looking for her little sister.
Olga doesn’t spare us from our feeling and instantly I am thrown into an emotional whirlwind and I won’t lie, a few tears escape while reading on through, being the ever emotional person that I can be. But more than that, Olga had once again instantly placed me into the mind and state of Ariel, were I felt what emotions where coursing through her at the time.
It seems that Ariel luck just keeps going down and down, the lower she felt, the lower I felt. However bad her luck was though I stayed cheering for Ariel knowing that there was a strength in side her she still didn’t understand, I was so happy that Rafe stuck by her and followed her on her journey, I won’t lie I’m rooting for Ariel and Rafe to hook up! I like Sam but I’m not as fond of his character really as I am with Rafe.
There are so many plot twists and turns that I never saw coming, I was left on the edge of my seating bouncing with anticipation with what was to come next. Olga has managed to once again do an outstanding job on writing this book and I can’t wait to read the next book. I’m not sure I can even take the wait! I’m honestly so in love with the ‘Celestial Creatures Series!’
Hallow is an addictive series that I found very engaging, action-packed, exhilarating and at times tear-jerking. If you are looking for a Gripping page turner, then you’ve found it!
Olga has easily gotten another 5/5 Star rating from me, and in my eyes it’s a well deserved 5/5 starts. I have managed to be placed into the world that is Ariel’s, feeling her emotions as she tries to figure herself out while keeping those she cares for and more safe.
